While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi Joni! Your job sounds like mine - or mine at the present. You forgot to add supervise all the unlicensed personnel you may have and if you are the RN just knowing that ultimately the state holds you accountable for LPNs too. (At least it does in my state.) I'm in the job hunting mode right now, but even for nurses it is tough to find something that you want. So many women are returning to the field and some men too. Hang in there. Somehow it always works out. Our supervisor's mantra, when things get out of control, "Med, Fed, Bed!" and if we have no falls it is a bonus.

I got a visit from my son, Matthew, and his wife over the week-end. It was so great to see them even for a little while. Wish I could have stretched the days to weeks. They were in to see his crew chief retire from on board the USS Massachusetts. It was a wonderful 3 days. Will help the days pass when we can't see them.

MattsMom-I will be a whole lot better when I can hear my son's voice and see him again! 2 more weeks of boot camp. His calls go to his wife (2000 miles away from us) so I haven't talked to him since he left.

Good morning all, just finished up my 3 12 rotation last night and now have a few days to catch up on all the posts, hello to all the new members, im so sorry about michael, i too hope that creep that did this get exactly what he deserves.

Welcome babs! Our son graduates 7/31, (DIV 265) also. He will go to A school in California for Seabees. We don't know yet if he is Grad'n'Go, either.

Pat, when you hear from Michael's mother again please let her know she & her family are in all of our prayers. And thanks for answering a question I was too afraid to ask - it wasn't another sailor who committed this murder. Like Joni I hope (& pray) that this murderous thug is found and receives the full measure of punishment allowed by the state it happened in!

Oh, Victoria! I am more sorry than words can say, my heart breaks for you and your son. You are right it doesn't seem fair at all. It is so hard to understand military reasoning at times, but please know that you and John are in my thoughts and prayers constantly in these coming days. I hope that you can draw comfort from knowing that. My family will pray for you too. Praying for comfort and peace for you, John, your niece & nephew at this horribly difficult time. Donna
