Hi All, been a nurse for 1 year. was late going to school, since I was a single mom.  I work in a group home setting for the cognitively impaired.  Just got my BSN in May of 2015.  Graduation was 3 days after my only sone left for bootcamp.

Hi fellow nurse moms, I am a nurse 23 yrs, currently doing PAC Case Mgmt in Bklyn, NY. My son left for BC yesterday. Still trying to gain my composure--so difficult to see him go. Got my 30 second call late last night - don't know PIR date yet, but I expect mid-late June. Wishing all good spirits and love to all our sailors.

Hi Nurses!  I'm going on 23 years as a NICU nurse at Kaiser in northern California.  My daughter is in Boot Camp and her PIR is April 10.  I can hardly wait to see her!!!  This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done - missing her so much!  She is my first born and only daughter... I have two step-sons, who lived with us full-time, in the military: 1 Navy, 1 Airforce, but somehow, this is so emotionally different this time. She will be going to A school in San Antonio for Corpsman.

Hi nurses! I have been a nurse for 26 years. I have worked as a cardiothoracic OR nurse at the Cleveland Clinic for 25 of those years, and became a PRN nurse when I took a full time job at the Cleveland VA in 2011. I now work full time in the Patient Transfer Center. I love it there, and love taking care of our veterans! My son is in Boot Camp and his PIR is 05/01.
