Yipee!!! I got mail today!!! Chris is EPO (Educational Petty Officer) for his division. He says basically his job is to tutor recruits with "stuff up here" (I don't know what "stuff" is but..), and to collect test scores. I've cried all through his letter like 4 times now but I'm so happy to have gotten one. >> Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a good day today as well.

My son's DVD from graduation came this week and his DIV book came today. We watched DVD last night and it just was still amazing and still made me cry. I know Thanksgiving is going to be so hard without him this week. His birthday was early this month and I really had a hard time with that. One thing is for sure since my son joined the navy I'm have done some more crying. It seems it don't take much. Do enjoy the phone calls from boot camp, my son only got to call once when he was there.

Ok, dumb question time. At the RTC website where grad dates are posted, if it says DIV 058-063, 09 Jan. 09, is that Divisions 058 through 063. I got my letter today saying that my son is in DIV 059. I know I'm jumping the gun just a bit but with the holidays coming I really need to do some preliminary planning soon, I just need to be reassured I'm interpreting my info correctly. I hope everyone is ok.

Hey, i'm new to the group. But I can see that I really am going to like this group. I just wished I had joined when my son was in boot camp. He graduated from boot on 10/3. It is one amazing graduation. He is in A school still up at Great Lakes. I miss him so. But he does get to come home for 2 weeks at Christmas and I'm counting the days down.
