Welcome Roxanne. Doing fine here in Reno, NV, not too far from you. So good to hear you survived BC and congratulations to your son for making it through. My son hasn't left yet, he leaves 7/1.

I sent you a friend request NevadaSierra. I'll send you a PM with my phone # once you accept as I couldn't find an option to just send you a PM without the friend request first. Looking forward to meeting you and hope you have safe travels for your job.

I'll be gone for work for a few days (Mount Hermon in the Santa Cruz Mountains) for work - then I have a week at The Academy for Spiritual Formation in Burlingame the week of the 26th thru the 31st. Will be checking back briefly to see if anyone wants to ride up with me on Sat the 25th for the service for PO3 Brian Collins in Truckee.

Sierrascapes - please pm me so we can connect at the service - I've got a {{{N4M}}} hug to welcome you to our group.

I'll be back after the first part of February. Blessings to everyone - I continue to pray for your sailors. ~~s~~

GREAT to hear from you BQB. Please stay in touch. I have very fond memories of our trip to your home. Wonderful news about your sailor. Congratulations.

Sierrascrapper  please pm me, and we will connect for next Saturday. I'll be out of town Tues-Thurs for work. I work every Sunday by the way. Have to get ready - more later. Blessings to everyone.

NevadaSierra...cool that your son is a Nuke too. It's he on a sub or carrier? My son is hoping to be on a carrier once he gets through the Nuke pipeline. We are all hoping he gets a west coast port too. But that is so far in the future.

You are definitely nearby in Nevada City and we can easily carpool to events. I usually have weekends off, but that may change in the near future as I am on the job hunt. Nothing changing yet, but I am hoping to apply for a management job at the new Hobby Lobby they are opening here.

I think I can make it to the service next weekend NevadaSierra. I don't know if I have a Navy Blue pants suit but I will look around to see if I have something appropriate. Hearing that one of those Sailors from the accident was from Truckee really hit hard.

Welcome Sierrascrapper!  WE are thrilled to have you join us.

NS - I won't be able to join you next weekend, as priorities here at home take president.

NS....Thank you for representing us next weekend.  We will be prayer for the family of the fallen sailor from Norfolk.

Welcome Seirrascrapper. WOW, what a great introduction. This is a GREAT place to be, and these are amazing Mom's (and Dad's)

I live in Nevada City. It is a challenge for me to get to stuff, because of my work. However, with you in Reno, maybe we can car pool to stuff. Our sailor is a NUKE also. Stationed in Bangor, WA. Please ask all the questions that you may have - no question is un-welcomed. Lots of experience here, and lots of support.

If you can come on the 25th to the service in Truckee, we can connect there. I think that Paymaster will be riding up with me (or me with her). We may connect in Colfax instead of Grass Valley - plans haven't been firmed up yet.

Speaking of Truckee, Ladies - the local Blue Star Mom's chapter will be doing a presentation, and they will be wearing black or navy blue pants suits. We are welcome to stand with them as the officers do the presentation to the family. I am praying that someone will be riding up with Paymaster. If you want to come up to my house in Nevada City that works too.
