Thanks Vickie,
Chrissy is turning 25 next month. So she doesn't like it when I get too overly motherly. She thinks I am not respecting her as an adult. I feel I was just trying to help. She calls me and vents all her problems to me. What I am supposed to do? She texted me last night about a problem. ~ Vicky

Vicky - had the same issue with my middle daughter a few years ago (not a sailor). Don't worry, she'll come back to you.

Just home from a week in the valley (Lincoln). Woke up this am to SNOW! I know that everyone here is tired of it - but I'm loving it } The pot of beans is cooking. Training went well - and I passed - umm - no jobs here yet - and my best friend got laid off last week.
Sailor called today - he has a job duty change and is liking it. Good news, we could hear it in his voice. There is some one on the base that is very intrested in buying the old family truck. Mixed feelings on mom's part -but this is good for him.
Blue Star Mom's meeting this morning - I invited them to join us after the parade on Constitution day (September). What great ladies - and the stories of their kids WOW! I was so humbled. We had an active service member join us. Please remember those serving in Afganastan and are on the front lines - what a hard time for all of them. While mine was in a sub and I didn't know - her story stuck my heart - and I wanted to share the prayer request.

Hi No. Cal. Moms,
TGIF! I hope you all have a great weekend. Vickie, I hope you have fun skiing on Tuesday. Hi Marsha, How are you doing? My sailor is mad at me, she is not talking to me. I hope she gets over it soon. I have done the best I can to be supportive since she joined the Navy. It hurts, I miss her.
