For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

While we haven't gotten to that point yet (so I haven't paid close attention), with the comings and goings of the nukes, it seems that there are often cars they are selling. At least, that's the impression I've gotten from this group.

My sailor phased up yesterday, and is getting restless already. Who am I kidding, he's been restless for a while, he loves to drive. He said he was eyeing all the dealerships he and his mates passed by (in a cab) last night...

Julie- I think most colleges have their spring break in March... Except for Christian schools.. We have two Catholic schools around here and they have break over Easter. Everyone else has it in March. Plane tickets have definitely reflected that too.. I'm assuming your son is in GC? I feel like you said it before, but I don't remember :/

Comment by amanda on January 22, 2011 at 2:25am: It's terrible when they know they're in trouble, worse when they have to wait all weekend to find out. My fiance missed watch once and called his commanding officer and told him right away the next morning (better than a phone call on midnight) but then had to wait all weekend. He was so paranoid that he'd get sent to mast or something. Nope, monday morning, someone brought him Ginger Ale (his favorite) and told my fiance he was in a good mood so he only had midnight watch for a week. If your son's desperate, maybe tell him to bring his SLPO Ginger Ale in hopes its the same guy?
