Go up to the above discussions and look for 'Your Sailors Schedule..." posted by Casey. It's the same form your sailor is given upon arrival. All the rules for liberty etc. are there (except the rules for phase 1 are now No Riding in Private Vehiclewith the exception of parents with approval. Also the radius is now 350 miles not 400 in phase 3)

dmab- While they're waiting to class-up for A school they do work around base, like cleaning crew. Whatever work the base needs done, those guys get to do it. He'll also have briefings on just about everything he'll need to know :) About 4 weeks after classing-up (or arriving- someone clarify, please?), your son will get Phase 2 liberty. And four weeks after that, he'll get Phase 3.
During Phase 1 they can go off base on the weekends with a curfew of 1215. He'll have to be in uniform at all times.
Phase 2- He's allowed off base on weekdays and weekends with a curfew of 1215. Civilian clothes are allowed on weekends, and alcohol is allowed (if of age).
Finally, Phase 3- He's free to go on the weekends with no curfew. On weekdays it's still 1215. Civilian clothes are allowed when he's not in class :)

Dan's mom, My son Thomas graduates Friday too from A School. I am not going to make it either. I will go to Power School graduation.

Thanks for the insight. I just can't wait to go visit him. When do they start getting to go off base for a little bit. I want to go there but I would want to be able to see him at least if I go all that way. It is so nice to be able to at least pick up a phone and talk to him right now. If they are waiting for A school to start what do they do in the meantime?

Hi everyone.. missed you all and wanted to catch up for a bit. I've been busy. Went down to see Thomas over Memorial Weekend. Had a blast. He looks so good!! He took me to Patriot's Point which is awesome. Loved the Medal of Honor Museum. He called last night and he graduates this Friday from A school with honors. I would go down but he told me that it isn't as big as the next graduation. I would like to surprise him as his birthday is July 15th. Next step is Power school. He has also applied to OCS and waits to hear on it. How is everyone??

My son just landed in Charleston and is starting his A school any tips for a new nuke mom?

Wow--I never realized how lucky I was to spot our son right away when his division walked in at PIR. His leaders allowed them to wear their own eyeglasses, so I spotted the kid wearing his own real glasses! Ha!

Zazzws, I wanted an NNPTC coin too. Saw EMC(SS)'s coin on the challenge coin group. I sent him a message to inquire where to get one and he told me they were sold at big graduations (Power School). We had already been to Power School grad but I had a friend (sweet Linda) here who was going in May. She found them and picked up one for me. Really cool and only $5.00

I have bought E-3, E-4 and machunist mate coins from their site
( https://store.nwtmint.com/Navy/ ) but can't find any coins for Charleston.
I emailed them and told them about NPTC but haven't heard back. Are there any creative moms who could suggest a design for such a coin?
