OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I remember our first call home it was on tuesday, my son had about 5 minutes to say he was put in holding and he was ok, he wasn't sure what was going to happen and you could hear the disappointment in his voice after the call ..me and my husband said I wish he had not called.. no news was good news at that point, our hearts sunk, but the calls got better.. the next call he was excited to talk about his holding class DI MGYSgt Foshee who he has most respect for... just encourage them.... my son also loss about 25 lbs from start to finsh
