No, Joan, he did not. I have gotten 2 letters (one just yesteday) and 1 phone call and I am getting a bit frustrated with my SR!! I have written a million letters (ok maybe a few less than that) and going through the grueling process of a garage sale this weekend to afford his graduation. You would think he could be a little more considerate. He did say that he had strep throat for a couple of weeks.  I guess I will forgive him.
Maybe he'll surprise you.  I know they don't have much extra time to write except for Sundays. The week before last and Monday last week was loaded with tests and inspections for Hell Week.  We've received 3 letters so far and 1.5 calls (I say .5 because I got to speak with my SR for 15 seconds!)  I'm just thankful she is settling into BC. Good luck on your garage sale.  That's such a good idea to raise funds and I know how grueling it is.  We'll have to pay down the credit card!  I'm sure your SR will be very happy that you are making the trip. We wouldn't miss it and are looking forward to PIR!
I know......I was just being grumpy. I just love and worry about him and would like to know what is going on. I am really looking forward to PIR. I know he will be very excited that I am there and it is worth all the effort. Thank you, I don't feel so bad anymore. I just keep reading about people getting all these calls and I wonder.
Does anyone recognize their SR in this picture from the May 10th random photos on the RTC facebook page? 181? I'm trying to determine which division it is because I think my SR is in the picture. Thanks!
Hey everyone! I just had a nice long call with my SR!  She sounds good, tired with a bit of a cough, but good. BS are scheduled for Monday night and they cannot fall asleep at all during BS or the rest of the day on Tuesday.  I'll keep all of them in my thoughts and prayers!
HI JOAN, I GOT A CALL TOO AND SENT A NOTE TO YOU ALL ON FB AND GOT IN TROUBLE (ALL CAPS ARE DUE TO EYE DISEASE ONLY)...GUESS I WASN'T THINKING, STUPID OF ME....

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry we missed meeting all of you.  We finally arrived at the Navy Lodge at 3:15 AM Thursday morning after long and grueling flight delays because of the weather.  We enjoyed PIR and had a lovely lunch with our family after PIR.  We took one daughter back to the airport late Thursday afternoon and let our Seaman nap until it was time to return to the ship. We saw her for a short visit Friday morning to give her her black back pack.  She's already loving her next post in San Diego. Perhaps we'll meet someday in the future.  Best wishes to your sailors and it's wonderful to all be in the same big family, the Navy family!
