OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

No mail this week and no call yesterday.  I hope all is well.  Maybe they will get the call today.  Anybody hear from their SR?  Ginger
NO phone call here either :( I'm guessing there must have been something that the division didn't accompolish or messed up, so they lost their call privilages. Hoping for mail on Wed and then if all goes well we should get our "I'm a Sailor" calls next. So excited to PIR!

Hello my friends...I was so bummed we didn't get a call last weekend...I am missing the sound of my boy's voice...I DID get a letter yesterday...which is very unusal as I only have gotten mail on SR doesn't speak much about what's going on...he tends to talk more about family and what's going on here...he did say he is expecting his orders soon...

Wondering if you guys can help we order gate passes now??  How??

Dara, you can go to this website for your gate pass:

Well, I've just finished packing. We leave tomorrow for Great Lakes. I'm sooo excited! I know all of you are too. :) For a while it seemed as if these two months were gonna take forever, now it doesn't seem so bad. I'm so proud of how hard these boys have worked to become Sailors and Men. Hope to see some of you either Thursday night or on Friday!
