Ruben mom - wonderful news- sounds like a very interesting adventure he is following
Congratulations!
Courtyard, Springhill Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and Residence Inn are all close to Sarge's MeetandGreet (Springhill Suites being right next door). All good hotels to stay in! Again, call directly and ask for the Navy Graduation rate. These hotels are only about 4-5 miles from RTC. Navy Lodge is a mile to a mile/one-half from RTC.
Sam: You can send a SMALL amount of fluid and the contacts in a small padded envelope. Label the outside with what is in there.
Ruben Mom: Is your SR flying out for A School? If so, Navy Lodge is a good place to stay close to the base---book in your SR's name and tell them it is for graduation. However, for those with sailors staying in GL for A School, be careful of Navy Lodge as some sailors have been denied chits which allow them visit time in Navy Lodge with family. I would suggest that those with sailors staying in GL for A School stay in a civilian hotel instead. There are many in the area. Just check the TripAdvisor.com reviews on a hotel you are interested in before booking. Also call that hotel directly and ask if they have a Navy Graduation rate.
Ruben Mom - just noticed that you are from The Bronx - I grew up in The Bronx but now live in NJ
No problem.
My last letter was also post marked 12-19
And the other call except for the 1st one also went to his GF
