Navywife: Hang in there. This roller coaster hasn't ended yet. Soon enough it will head back up. Trust me. Last week I actually thought that I could have been diagnosed "depressed", but this week everything is AMAZING! I am flying on feelings of relief and love. It's the weeks like this that keep us going. The weeks on cloud 9 are what keep us strong and sane, but the deep pit falls of "depression" are what make us stronger. The down weeks are what show us how much we love them. They always remind us of the important things in life. #1 being our sailors. We love them with all our heart because that love is what gives them the strength to follow through to the end. Sometimes though we find ourselves giving too much, so there is nothing left for us. The sad weeks are the weeks that we learn to replenish our love so that it can support both ourselves and our sailors. WE have the capability, as navy wives, girlfriends, and fiances, to contain so much more love than most civilian wives, girlfriends, and fiances could ever imagine exists. WE love no matter the distance, no matter the time. WE give our love to our sailors when times get hard because they need it more than we do and then WE learn to duplicate our love so we have enough for ourselves as well. WE love them even when we know we will only be #2 in their life because the Navy is #1. WE love them knowing that most of the year we will be alone. WE love them because they are no ordinary men. OUR men are Navy men, and for those that don't understand the difference they don't understand NAVY LOVE! NAVY LOVE is an amazing thing to know! Does it get hard? Yes. Does it make us stronger? Yes. Does that make our love the truest form of love possible? YES! There is NO love stronger than Navy Love!

I am in awe of Navy wives with children. Not only do they need enough love for them and their sailors, but also their children. So Navywife, I salute you. You may be in the downturn right now, but when you come back it will be as if a tornado hit town. You will discover the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and it will be filled with enough love for all of you and yours. You will be one of the wealthiest of women in the world because when it comes down to it we are all just looking for happiness, and a love fierce enough to fight for. Life means nothing if you never find anything precious enough to fight for, wait for, and put all of your affection into. All of us have found this. In a bit of irony, WE are the luckiest women in the world.

I hope this helps you Navywife.
I hope this encourages anyone who reads this.
I will save this to read for when my roller coaster takes the deep plunge, which always scares me to death! For real! The drop on roller coasters scare me to death! Lol! :)

To all: have a great day. :)

It's the day after your bday. No letters yet, but I'm not that disappointed at all. But I'm so glad that you guys are receiving letters and giving me inputs. Thanks everyone!

PM(ship12div086): thank you. and yes it is. I hope I get one as well, but I am trying to not get my hopes up. Wish your bf happy birthday for me, I actually forget what day it is I remember it is like a day or 2 within mine. :/ Have you received any letters yet? I'm also glad the division is doing well.

Sighhhh :| A little lonely today - dont know why but it just sees like it's not coming as fast as I want it too. It didnt help either that our daughter said "A,B,C" for the first time and she learned where her nose and eyes are today. It just made me cry cuz I hate that he has to miss all of these firsts.
I really hope he can get overnight liberty so we can spend all that time together and I can actually wake up to him for the first time in two months!

I'm so happy for you Tiffany:). Your bday is coming up, so I hope you'll receive a letter(s) from him again to make your day extra special. My bf's bday is coming up also, and hoping to get letters from him next week. My gosh, I think it takes 10days for him to receive my letter and from GL to here. But really, I'm so happy for you. And, it's good to hear that div.086 is doing really great. :).

Drew is doing great. He thinks he is going to graduate with honors.

"I'm so used to it here it is scary. I'm "Institutionalized." I'm used to the food, waking up early (way early), showering with 30 other guys, the works..."

Lol! I'm so glad to hear that it has gotten so much better that it is "normal."

Div 086: has been doing really well so chief gave them 25 min to write before bed (1/12). On their first test they received a 4.0 out of 5.0 and earned one flag. If on Friday (1/15) they pass a physical assessment with 90% or better they would receive another flag, and I believe Toni said they passed. They also had a weapons turnover inspection on Friday (1/15).

I will end with my favorite quote: "I got 3 letters for you in 2 days! Best feeling ever." ♥ I love him so much!!!

I joined just to post this. Dee "friended" me because I am from CA. She asked me to help her find the mom of Michael, her son's bunkmate. She didn't know Chris's name or where she was from - only California. I gave it 2% chance at best. Then I notice her Ship 12 Div 083 next to her name. Found the link to this group had a feeling it was Chris and here we are. Without N4M, this would have never happened. More suggestions:
1) Some of you should search periodically to see if there are others like Dee out there. Click on Members on above menubar, input Ship 12 Div 083 in search box and hit the little icon next to the box. Click on the person's page, post comment inviting her to join the group.
2) You should all get in the habit of checking your inbox and your own page daily along with this group's page.
3) Check the PIR 01/22/2010 page - members of one group wore the same red scarves to Meet & Greet - cool idea.
4) Ramada has a discount through their internet booking - don't remember where I read it.
5) Don't forget to check out the PIR (Pass in Review) under Forums. Click on link. There are 456 discussion topics.
6) BUY the bound book - it's beautiful, worth every penny.
I recognize a few names: Teresa, Teresa_Adamsmom, Chris, Bananamom, DDP, TeriP, Lisa59, Nancan, Mrswilli6.
I wish everyone safe traveling and a big thanks to you and your sailor.
BunkerBee - I will be departing from the group now.
