Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

ohhh well then im taking the shuttle then... its confusing but i think i will have to manage to figure it out. If it saves me walking a long distance
So if my hotel doesnt have a shuttle can I still get one?

Wow I had to catch up lol. So do we have to take a shuttle or no. Cuz i'm pretty sure we were planning on driving. Can someone help me with this please I hate to say it but im rather unorganized with my thoughts at the moment- just so much going on and how hard everything is when it's just me.So for those of you who have been to PIR before can someone give me the baisc layout of how things run starting from say 4 AM - until. It would be greatly appreciated

It was the beret the American Winter Olympic team wore in 2002. Really cute. Made by the Roots company. I'd post a picture here, but I can't figure out how to upload a photo. Feb. 12 is the first day of the 2010 winter Olympics, so I thought it would be a good fit.
