There should be some kind of rule that says whoever provided you with this card gets the first call made from it!!! It sounds like a good rule to me lol
Thanks Lala, I just sent him one today. Hopefully it will result in a call to mom
lala they do need a phone card but if they don't have one hopefully they have had time to buy one at the NEX. If you send a phone card to them make sure you send one with plenty of minutes. Most of them use up at least 30 minutes just for making a call from a pay phone. So if they call your home and you don't answer and then they call your cell and talk for 15 min they have used 1 hour and 15 minutes off their calling card. It gets used up quickly. You are allowed to send them one if you want to :-)
MaryOwl, I don't think so. My son is also in that division and some of the moms have gotten letters just in the last day or so. There is a Ship 12 Div 93 group here too. My son thought their division was doing ok and would be fine. Whatever that means.
Hi MaryOwl...
My daughter is in ship 03 Div 096... haven't heard from her either..... no letters. I haven't received the form letter yet too..... I think they are working hard... no news is good news! So they say! ((hugs))
My son is in ship 12, div 093. I have heard nothing at all from him, does this mean he/and the div are doing bad and being punished?
Has anyone heard anything from 02/919. Still no word!!!!!
I am seeing that some still have not received their form letter.
I can't tell you why but what I CAN do is post a copy of what one looks like. This is an older one...I think they have updated the style of it...so if someone is good at that and wants to take on posting there recent one...please do... just remember that you need to white out ANY of the personal info...basically all the stuff your Recruit filled in. Maybe make a copy and do that TY in advance if some one does.
That being said...if you don't have it yet...the most important info you need now from it is the Confidential Password for the Gate Pass for entry with your vehicle to RTC.You need to write your recruit and ask for this.
I'll post the Form letter in the Discussion Forum.
Ugh! Still no phone call. He has been gone over 3 weeks now. Do they have to have a calling card to be able to make a call or are they allowed to use military phones?
Folks,
Just dropping a gentle reminder that if you have questions to please post here on the main pages…we are here for you! We have 5-7 PIR groups running at a time…that’s an average of 49+ Divisions. Right now with 5 PIR groups we have 51 Divisions (on a side note…that’s over 4000+ SR’s WHEW!)…we have three to four “veteran” moms available for the groups…so we spend our main time scoping out the main pages of a PIR group for questions and concerns…and to hear all your wonderful news about calls and letters!
We do try to skim through the discussions. I don’t like “intruding” (personally) they’re for y’all to chat…but do so mostly to see if there is a question and/or I have to do a little OPSEC work (Yes…I am the “hall monitor” LOL LaLa!).
I also try to make sure I am checking the Discussions that I post for questions…if I miss it…PLEASE BUG ME! I don’t mind…that is what I/We are here for!
This is not a “slam” post but an “I/We just want to be there for you one”!
Hope you are having a great weekend…FTLW
(This will be posted on every PIR group)
