OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Ladies, some of you may not be renting cars and would like to "carpool" with one another using one of Sarge's cabs (cheaper than actual taxi since he gives Navy families discounts).  It is cheaper for each of you if you share since he charges by the cab, not person.

So if you are interested, post the following below:

Airport you will arrive at

Day/Time of arrival

How many in your group

Hotel (although this is not a major concern, they are all close together, you can still share even if at different hotels).

You can connect on here and then trade phone numbers if necessary by private message (please don't post last names/phones numbers on here).

For any who are renting cars and have space to take others, please feel free to note that here also.

Sarge's number is 847 212-0246

You can also tell him that you would like to carpool with others if you find no "takers" on this group.  It would be best if you let him know you want to carpool with specific people if you make a connection here.

Thanks diannep!  You have been so helpful providing information to everyone.

My family is arriving at OHare Airport, on Thursday, March 21st, at 1:31 p.m.  There are 4 of us in our group.

If anyone is interested in sharing - we welcome the company!

Hope to see you all at the Meet & Greet!
