Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Momof3, I am also getting numerous notifications ;)
Lady Hamiliton - Funny!
Diannep - Thanks for confirming, for whatever reason I kept second guessing myself.
Ry-Mom: Yes, Captains Cup for this group will be on Saturday morning.
Good morning! Well we made it through Easter with Ry's chair empty...enjoyed the time with the rest of the family. Instead of feeling sorry for ourself, everyone grabbed a pen and paper and wrote him.
Is this weekend the Caption's cup for our divisions?
Good Morning All ! Be sure to be checking for those gate passes today on the RTC site....your "get gate pass" prompt should be posted on there sometime today. See my post 3 below this one for more info!
vulmac: They all get one called The National Defense Service ribbon/medal...you will see that horizontal ribbon on their formal uniform (PIR uniform), left chest, multi-colored. They all get this for serving during a time of war.
Then, they earn the Marksmanship ribbon/medal. This is black, also horizontal, and will be beside the National Defense Service ribbon on their uniforms.
They did great on those flags! I wonder if they are in contention to win the Hall of Fame flag? That is the top flag for a division to win....the division must have an average GPA of 4.7 (out of 5.0)or higher and obtain all of the flags available to them. It is quite an honor for them to get....competition is fierce! :-) My son's division got it when he was there....they were quite excited!
11 days to go... so excited and so proud..got a letter from my son...started packing bags, reservations made at navy lodge, , RSVP to Sarge's meet and greet, mixed emotions, my son said he got two medals already and their div got 4 flags in one day.......awesomeness........
Remember, on the gate passes, use the password from your form letter (written in by your SR). Type it in ALL CAPS to download the pass. You can print as many as you like. You will then write in the info. One per car is needed, but I took extras in case I lost one. We took the shuttle to PIR, so didn't need it, but used it to drop our sailor off that night on RTC...drove onto base rather than dropped him at the gate since we had the pass.
Here is the link for the upcoming graduations which will eventually show the "get gate pass" prompt by your date. Keep checking tomorrow:
Hope everybody had a nice Easter holiday. We had a nice quiet day - the weather here is finally glorious after all that snow. I ordered two challenge coins (couldn't decide - they are cool). Thanks for that info - great gift idea! Starting to fill up my PIR box with random things to take. 11 days!!
