OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 173 - 174

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes and I recieved his belongings

My son is Division 174.  His rate is YNSS, but I don't know if he goes to Mississippi first or Connecticut.  I am thinking Mississippi.  I guess I should ask in my next letter.

Got a call from my husband yesterday, on Easter. It was longer that the first call, 37 minutes. He sounded great :)

Then I got another call from him today, unexpectedly, but only for a few minutes. Hope you all are doing well! PIR is only a little over a month away - we're almost half way there! (or really, THEY are almost half way there... lol)

If that's a first initial it's probably me. That's how we refer to our SR.
Happy Sunday y'all! We are 25 days away from seeing our babies, God willing. They will be going into he'll week starting Tuesday. Many prayers that they all do well and pass everything they need to. I know the 174 has already lost one, set back due to injury. Let's pray the rest make it to graduation with no issues. Hope y'all are doing well. Also, I'm making a centerpiece for the 174 I'd anyone has ideas. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Whoa, "hell week" already, that came so fast. Does that mean that Tuesday was week 4, day 1?
A centerpiece for a table? Maybe you could do like a model sized sailboat that is filled with, our surrounded with, anchors and cut outs of the division number. Just an idea... :-)
Good morning ship 14 family. We are almost there! I goal this coming week is to make my centerpiece for meet and greet. How many DIV 174 are planning on being there? And is anyone else making a centerpiece? Trying to make sure we have enough for everyone, and I can make some extra if needed. There is going to be 3 or 4 in our party. Can't wait to meet everyone!
Just spoke to my husband :-) He says the entire division has a cold, from an immunity thing they gave the division. But he sounded great and said he is having fun, so yay!

If anyone knows the date of BattleStations for Div 174 can you please private message it to me? Thank you!!
