N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good morning, Everyone!

What a great weekend with all the phone calls! Hopefully everyone's SRs sounded good and are getting in the swing of BC! I know my SR must be because he said that he'd gotten 2 wisdom teeth pulled and had just got done with PT, running 3 miles. LOL! Oh and he also told his girlfriend, Emmy, that the food is amazing. Yep, he's not hard to please! :)

Hope everyone has a good week. We are getting some rain off and on and it's supposed to get pretty severe middle of the week!

We got a call Saturday morning and our son was allowed 45 minutes to talk to us. He got to talk to everyone in the family and he sounded so good!  It is amazing what a relief it is to hear that things are going well and he actually misses his brothers and sisters a lot and my husband and I.  He said that he has about 2-3 hours of homework every night.  I was surprised at that but other than that...all is well!  Such a blessing to hear his voice....I hope all of you who haven't gotten a call get one this week.  It helps so much!  Have a blessed day!

bublievey:  Sometimes it takes longer than others.  We don't have any control over it.  The administrators who approve work with NING who run this site.  Tell them to be patient!  Hope they get approved soon!

puertorico:  If you decide you want someone else to make them, I know someone on here who makes beautiful ones!  Lala Ribbon Queen!  She is a member of this group and posts everyday (look for her picture icon ... red with the blue ribbons on it).  She would be happy to make them for you.  You can contact her through her page.

Hi bubliebev,

When I registered on a Friday, I think it was Tuesday before I was approved.  I think I read that it may take a bit longer over a weekend.  :)

Hi!  I was just curious about how long it takes to get approved for this site.  I know it didn't take me long, but there are several women on Facebook that have registered and haven't been approved as of yet.  Some have been waiting a few days.

I think I'm going to make my sons favorite rocky road browies and surprise him when we see him for PIR, I'm also going to attemp to make ribbons for me, his dad & brother with the Navy colors and his name. Now I need to figure out where I can find some ribbons and how I should make it :)
