~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

For Ellen0502 - You mentioned "BS"... what is that?
ellen0502 - thanks for the info. That makes perfect sense, they were on hold for a few days. The first time my SR called he sounded so deflated but the second time he was so much better. Must have started physical stuff, that always made him feel good.
Push divisions are generally the last two divisions of a TG, they had to wait for other recruits to arrive and fill that division (can be up to two weeks). Those in a push division either get put on hold after arriving, or processed then put on hold for the division to fill and will not start training right away.
This is just an example and by no means is how it might be. The other divisions in the TG may have gas chamber at the end of training week four, push divisions may have it at the beginning of week four or maybe week 5. BS for PUSH divisions may be at the end of "counted" training week 5, or the beginning of "counted" week 6.
My son was there for eight weeks 2 days total, had 16 days processing and p hold before training started. His BS was training week 6 day 1, and PIR was week 6 day 5. They blame it on waiting for the girls, and still blame it on the same girls even in C School...LOL
It really just means they have less time to get it all done, but they do, so don't worry (yeah right). For those of us following along and trying to figure out where they are and what they are doing, compared to other divisions, it just means total confusion...LOL.
I know I should know this, but what is a push division and why is that so tough on them? thanks
