~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

So sorry I have been MIA, we are in FL and I haven't been able to use my computer until now and N4Ms is not iPhone friendly or I am just nuts and don't know how to use it lol. Our FL Meet and Greet is tomorrow (Friday) night at 7pm at Rusty Bellies in Tarpon Springs for anyone in the nearby areas who would like to join us :) I hope everyone is having a great week :)
Good Morning Ladies...I received a phone call from SR yesterday! I was frazzled because I was in the tux shop with my younger son when my phone rang. He just called on Sat so I was not expecting a call. It was so good to hear his voice & he is doing well. Ship 14 DIV223 sounds like they are moving along well. Yay! He is still missing us & told me that he doesn't think he'll ever get used to not being with the family. I know he'll adjust, but that was a little difficult. He was able to talk to his brother & sister for the first time and was joking with them so that was good for the 3 of them. So glad that many got to talk to SR yesterday! Have a wonderful day ladies!
Good Morning All !
Hi Willsmom -
Just go to the top of this page and click on the "f" on the very left. It will get you directly to facebook. One word of caution...remember the OPSEC info and don't post anything personal, including names.
2 letters, yes 2!! One to me and the other to his older brother. Soooo nice. He did say it's hard to make friends when you're the RCPO. I can imagine. So hope none of your SR's are complaining about him to you :-)
And thank you diannep - we all want to think our son/daughter is the sweetest thing ever but mine is, LOL. His 13 y/o sister has Down syndrome and looks forward to this recital all year. So yes, he knows it means a lot to her, and me :-)
Can anyone tell me how to find the Facebook page for our PIR? I put in every combination I could think of and nothing.
Hope everyone receives letters soon and phone calls also.
I'm so happy for you, Joyce0822. And, I'm glad he is starting to enjoy boot camp. That alone is enough to be happy about!
I just learned how to forward the house calls to my cell phone. I am a happy camper. Now I can leave the house and not worry about missing his call!!
Hello All, I just have to share.
I got two letters from my SR today. I was so overcome with joy that I cried for about 2 minutes before I could open them. On the outside of one of the letters it said HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! The letters were so sweet, just like he is. I'm so happy he is doing well and starting to enjoy Boot Camp. I hope you all get letters soon.
My SR is in DIV931 and called on Sunday. I had hoped to receive a letter in the mail today from him, but it didn't come. Maybe tomorrow.
So happy for everyone who has received a call today!!
