I think Navy-Folk and military would appreciate it more in general. Sometimes I get so tired of movies like this getting a bad rating...it does exactly what it should for an action flick...entertain! Towards the last half of the movie you just can't help but get a little heart swell in what happens and the Army member that is in it swells my heart throughout.
Thanks for the update FireTeamLeaderWife...I was wondering if that movie was worth seeing. That kind of movie is right up our alley so to speak; I know my SR would love it too.
katyellen-thanks for the update on the area code. I'm so worried I've missed his call if it was a restricted number. I get lots of calls on a restricted line which I never answer but I'm sure he would leave me a mssg if it was him. So I'm going to keep hoping I get that phone call soon (that letter too :-( ...I'm being such a whiner...I can already hear him saying "mom, I've been really busy!" LOL
Good morning all!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I am not on as much on the weekend as hubby is home…but I usually get to read and then catch up on Monday! Praying for letters and calls for y’all this week!
Hubby and I went to see “Battleship” tonight. Kicked Alien Butt! HOOYAH! Loved seeing all the “Sailors” and the USS John Paul Jones reminded me of all of the Recruits as “Camp John Paul Jones” is the main housing area for them! If you go, make sure you wait and watch the scene after the credits…the furry creatures made us laugh as we have one and have worked with the others! LOL
Good Night!
that is awesome katyellen, I know that made you fill a million times better :-)
Hey guys, got my call yesterday. yahhh, i was sooo happy. It said waukegan IL and an 847 area code. He got his wisdom teeth pulled. He said they were suppose to call on Thursday but because there were so many sick (maybe alot of wisdom teeth pulled) they had to wait till saturday. He says its great. He is the PFC and carries a flag. He seems pumped. It was great. Hope y'all get your calls.
Good morning all !
Jmama- They moved Corpsman school not to long ago, maybe a year? Not sure if it has even been that long. You should still be able to meet your Sailor at the airport and now you will have him all day on Friday. I know you must be disappointed but like you said he will now be closer to you and you will be able to visit him more often. That will be great because it usually only takes a couple weeks or so for them to class up and be allowed off base to visit with you. :-)
