Good Morning Navy Moms!!  Look, the ticker says 48 days!!   Wishing all of our recruits much strength & endurance during the next couple of weeks, it's getting intense for them.  Chins up... They've Got This!!!

Have a wonderful Weekend!!

You are doing the right thing kateellen, staying busy helps more than anything :-)

Comment by diannep on May 19, 2012 at 9:14am

katyellen:  Hopefully, they will get to call after they have been there for 3-4 weeks.  Calls can be promised, earned, scheduled, etc...but they can be "lost" for the least little thing.  Many times, we see a SR write that they can call on (date) but then it doesn't happen.  Just remember....one mistake by one person can cost the entire division a call.  Hard lessons, but necessary to create "teamwork" in the SRs.

The calls are totally up to the RDCs in your SR's division.  My son happened to be in 2 different divisions when there because he was asmoed for a week.  In his first division...a good number of calls were allowed.  In his second one, which he entered into during training week #3 (bootcamp week # 4 or #5), I think he only got to call one time.  So it is very random.  Also, remember, if a SR has "watch," they may miss their call...some of them are allowed to call after watch or the next day.  But not always.

Phones handy at all times!

Good Morning everyone and Happy Saturday. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had to take my Mom to the Doc and then we went shopping. We finally have a new Joann Fabric Store in Asheville :-) Loving that we have a new place but man fabric just gets more and more expensive!!!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :-)

Hi everyone! So excited. Just received the FORM letter. How can a typed letter with incerpts of your SR's handwriting give you so much joy and relief? I don't know.....but it did for me. Now to plan our trip....I WILL NOT MISS HIS GRADUATION FOR ANYTHING! So I officially can say I am apart of this PIR 7/6 group! Yay!
