Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I am giving away free phone cards for Recruits to use while they are in basic training to keep in touch with Family Members and Loved Ones. I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp. Does anyone know how I print several pictures from my computer on to a piece of 8x10 to send to my SR. I'm trying to do a collage, but can't seem to figure it out??

I am looking for flights to go to PIR and I followed some advice on here by looking at Southwest. The flights for us (two of us coming in from Spokane Washington) are over $1100.00 through Southwest but then I looked on Priceline and found some for about $600.00. I have never booked through Priceline before so it makes me a little nervous to book through them. Have any of you booked tickets through Priceline? Any good, bad or ugly stories about them?

It amazes me how emotional I was then and how I still get that way sometimes now even when reading the posts of people I don't know lol.
