You know what moms...I thank the good Lord that my SR was smart enough to join the miitary and do something so completely courageous instead of choosing the wrong path in life.  With all the crap going on in this world, drugs, gangs, no self-esteem with alot of young people making bad choices.  They can stand tall and be proud of their choices.  Amen

Comment by MyLAS (My Lips are SEALed) on May 17, 2012 at 8:20pm

My SR left for BC the `14th at 6 pm from Atl.  Got my call at midnight and today (the 17th) I got the box.  Hope this time flies. Also, got his ship number from the recruiter today.

I love the little animated guy! Exactly how we all feel! Too funny!

ok, i'm pulling my hair out...just want to hear that kids voice.  I know you say that he might sound alittle down cuz he will be really tired but i'm praying he says he's AOK.

Comment by Valerie_Alyssa(Ship03Div208) on May 17, 2012 at 7:23pm

Yes Lala you are absolutely right he actually called today we got to speak for 17 minutes! :) and he did tell me he is the RPEC or RPAC which is the leader of the division who walks besides them while they march . I'm so proud to hear that and to know he's doing much better. In his previous group one of the RDC's really had it out for him he says but it's ok everything is turning out to be much better!

Welcome Valerie, my son is on Ship 03 Div 208.  PIR of 7/06.  Your in the right group.  I haven't heard from my SR yet.  Got the form letter but no letter from him or phone call yet....ughh.  But i know it won't be to much longer.  Glad your here with us.

Welcome to this group Valarie. I know a setback is hard to handle but sometimes it is the best thing that can happen to a recruit. One who is struggling in one division may find himself (or herself) exceeding expectations in the new divisions and may even become one of the leaders. I am sure he will do much better now and I am happy to hear he is doing well and back on track for PIR.

There is not yet a discussion for that DIV above so maybe you could start one. katyellen also has a recruit in that division. You can see her comment towards the bottom of the page. Maybe you could send her a friend request :-)

Hoss, I have had that happen to a few of my posts lately. I wasn't sure if someone deleted them, something was wrong with the system, or I was just loosing my mind lol. Glad to see I am not the only one with that problem. Maybe I am still sane :-)

Howdy again!  Not sure if I am just going crazy but I know I left a message here about 2 hours ago, something to the effect of getting my son's box on Mon 7/14 but no letter yet (he left 5/8, live in CA).  I double checked to see if I left it under my other group Boot Camp Moms but it is not there.  Not sure if anything is up with the system???

But FTLW - THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the info posted above - they are really helping start to prepare for the travel and being prepared.  In the next few days I will be looking for things like ordering pics, ribbons, making stay reservations.  Thank you again!

Hello everyone!

My husband has been at Great Lakes since April 19th. He was supposed to graduate on 6/22 but called on Monday to let me know he has been moved to a new division and will now be graduating on 7/6 . We were both upset at first but he is doing much better now! :) He's on Ship 03 Div 208 now anyone else in the same ship/div?

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on May 17, 2012 at 6:09pm

Several of the pages have been like that for a few days Dianne, I keep checking pages but there isn't much happening. So I am lurking in the background :-) Just call me Stalker Lala
