That's cool OmahaRudy :-) I am off to bed too after midnight here. I will be dragging in the morning lol. Goodnight all.

Work weeks are crazy busy. It was good to catch up on conversations that took place while I was at work....but now it's time for bed so I can get up and do it all again. Don't feel sorry for me tomorrow, tho! I get to play in a women's golf outing!

Have a good night.

It really did fly by. The last 2 years have been like that. Way too fast for me. yeah I think it is best to keep him after that long :-) It probably took all 28 yrs to train him lol.

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on June 11, 2012 at 10:57pm

Lala, that's nice that he does clean.  I do remember when you got married.  Wow, that year just flew by.  Congrats!  I just realized that I have known my husband 28 years now.  I guess I will keep him, since I'm too tired to break in a new model, lol.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on June 11, 2012 at 10:35pm

lol, yes I do. I have spoiled him I'm afraid. But we have only been together for 5 years and our first wedding anniversary is in a couple weeks so maybe there is time to reprogram him lol. I am glad he is somewhat of a neat freak though it makes for a clean house almost all the time :-)

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on June 11, 2012 at 10:26pm

Lala, you fix his plate?  Oh my goodness, I don't do that.  I told my husband years ago that I did that for 5 children and he is not my number 6 child.  lol  My husband does take his plate and put it in the dishwasher and he is starting to help put away leftovers, so I guess I can't complain too much.  But it took years for me to train him to do that.  :)

Betsy I thought all husbands were like that lol. My hubby is very good about helping with cleaning and stuff but when it comes to meals I wait on him completely. I cook the food, I fix his plate and I clean up. I tease him and say don't worry honey when you get old I'll feed you too lol.

Betsy, going to message you!

Dianne, who would have ever thought that being a procrastinator would end up being a good thing?  :)  Is he content with being back?  I often worry that my kids might feel like they have to check in with me all the time if they moved back home. I know how you feel about loving having him home, because even with Gunnar here, our house seems so empty now that Michelle and Adam have left  again.  :(

Oh and while I'm on that subject, Gunnar is definitely home way too much for me now, as he works from home 2 days a week.  I was just getting used to him being home 3 days a week and his boss allowed him another day to work from home, so he is now home Fri. Sat. Sun & Mon.  Ugh!  I could take it if he stayed out of my business, but he gets bored and then follows me around while I'm doing stuff.  I don't get as much done because he is always trying to give me, um......helpful hints.  Hello! I've been doing the same things for 35 years, so leave me alone!.   Ugh!  I told him that if he didn't leave me alone, that I was going to go to his office (in Washington DC), stand over him and tell him exactly how to do his government job and then at lunch time ask him to make my lunch for me, lol.  That's what he does to me now.  I've actually started making plans on Mondays and Fridays just so he has to make his own meals during the day,  lol.  When did I become his personal cook on days when he should be at work?  In my perfect world, he is supposed to be at work those days.  :)  Sorry, this turned into a vent, but I feel so much better now.  :)

Comment by diannep on June 11, 2012 at 6:53pm

Betsy:  That's the PROBLEM...I really enjoyed him moving back in, even though I was fine by myself...and I don't want him to leave again!  :-(  But he is a procrastinator...so the house purchase may not get done for a while.  More time for him to be here then!  :-)
