Hello everyone!  I didn't see a thread started for this division, so I thought I'd get things started!  I don't know about you, but I was ridiculously excited just to get the form letter.  I hope I don't pass out when I get my first handwritten letter from my son, lol.  I'm sure he's enjoying himself.  When I got the initial, "I made it here safely" phone call, he sounded like a 6 year old who'd just gotten to Disney World.  As far as he's concerned, he's living the dream!

I am absolutely loving this site and it's wealth of information and support.  I only wish I'd found it prior to bootcamp.  Can't wait to get to know some of the other DIV -264 moms!

Lexxie did you check you have correct address yet?.. A bunch of us had wrong one so letters might be delayed few days . Address should be 3505 sailor drive with zip ending in same 4 digits ... Sadly I had 3405 and zip 3401 .. I'm hoping all my letters get there even if late I hope they don't get returned . So anyway don't worry just keep writing and tell him good happy things only :)!

Same thing happened to me.  I just got it straightened out for yesterday's letter.

Just reading over again and you mentioned wisdom teeth.. my son didn't say anything .. Wonder if he doesnt want me to worry or didn't know he was yet ?! .. I'm picturing he needed it done since all of us family did .. Oh well I hear that get 2 days to sleep to recover so that's good part .

Tomorrow should be letter day for us!  I can't wait!!!

Even though we haven't received a letter yet we did get a phone call today which was AWESOME!!  My SR sounded so great.  It was too quick but I loved every minute of it!!!

The Navy Boot Camp Aliens have stolen my son!  In his letter he said that he's ship mates think he is neat and organized.  He is good at making his Bunk and stowing his gear.  I don't know who that person is...  He never made his bed at home and when he left it took me two days to remove the trash from his room!  LOL!!  God Bless the Navy!

Got another phone call from my son yesterday!!  it was 19 minutes, he said the division (264) had been doing well so they got another phone call.  So a great week, first phone call on Wednesday, 3 letters on Thursday and a bonus phone call on Saturday. He sounds like he is doing well and even making a lot of friends.  Can't believe we are down to 33 days til PIR!!

spudsmom I'm so glad that 264 is doing well. 263 did not get that bonus call:('. Oh well. It's something for them to strive for.

Today is mail day!!!  I'm hoping a letter is waiting for me!

Just one More Friday!!!

Hi all!  Our next call should come later this week!  Be ready!!!
