Barb-- I know what you mean. From what I can tell my boys div (285) will be on 3-1 day tomorrow but I'm waiting for another letter for confirmation.

Proudmom- My son will be celebrating his 20th birthday at BC, so I understand as well. This will be the first one we haven't spent together. I wish I could see him or at least send a package, but I guess I will just be content sending a card. A silent, non glitter, non confetti card- unless he doesn't write soon and then all bets are off.  ;)

I still miss him every moment, but it is getting easier. Making the reservations helped a lot. It makes PIR seem closer. I hope everyone is getting closer to the excited phase. Only 5 weeks and 5 days until we see our Sailors.

Proudmom:  Lala's son plans to go into the Navy soon but is living at home working right now.  So that celebration is happening with Lala present!

Lala- my youngest will also spend his 19th birthday in BC. Boy do I have a lot of empathy for you. His is still to come and very close to his PIR so maybe he will be in good spirits. But I love your attitude and if we were closer, I would be bringing a dish to the party!! Enjoy your family :)

Good Morning everyone, Today is my baby boy's 19th birthday. It is also our Family Reunion today as well. Just what every 19 yr old wants for his birthday right? lol. My oldest son is home for the weekend as well. Just wish our Sailor could be here too. We will be spending the day with lots of family in the Pisgah National Forest so I will be away most of the day. I will be back later this evening. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Go out and do something fun :-) YOu can always crash our party lol.

sharbear:  Hoping that today will bring you happier thoughts/memories of good times in the past and to come, and lots of excitement looking forward to PIR.  You will be on Cloud 9 then!  So hang in there!
