Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by Momof5 on July 28, 2012 at 9:47pm: Hi guys. I have been on vacation but just got my SR's new ship and div today so I am happy to be able to start writing him again. Nice to see everyone is starting to get letters- ask your SR's what week and day they are on- so we can figure out what training day they are on and get an idea of what they are up to. Before we know it we will get that first call. Wishing everyone comfort and peace- I know how hard this is.

I work as a substitute teacher for the local school and I was called Friday for 6 days in August already. I am NOT ready to go back lol. It seems like summer just started.

I hope this coming week will be a really good week for letters for you. Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually the best days for letters depending on where you live. I always got mine on Thursdays and I am in NC.
