~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

What a wonderful surprise! Our Son the Sailor is on the phone as I am typing. I needed to let his Dad talk to him also but, will be getting back on again.
He sounds so pumped. Has his orders...flying out of Midway on Saturday. Loves the group that he is going with.
I have to say a big " thank you " to the mom of a sailor that they call Poage. When i was having my " melt down " when I did not get a call after battlestations, your son came to my son and told him what I had said on here. Probally in so many words..." your mom is having a melt down because you did not call " LOL
So many are of you are traveling already, we head down there at noon tomorrow. Super excited!
Everyone have safe travels! See you in Great Lakes!
Yep, I stand corrected! No proof of insurance required for rental cars apparently, but you do need proof of insurance for personal cars. Thanks, amber!
Hello Friends!
"For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
You are very welcome, Belinda. We love helping you all!
mishka: Is it stated in your credit card policy? Can you take a copy of that? Call your credit card company and ask them how you can supply proof of insurance for a military base. There may be something they can email you if what you have is not sufficient. You can also call the Public Affairs Office at RTC and ask: 847 688 2405
HELP! I'm having a momentary panic attack! I am renting a car, have the gate pass printed, and I know that the rental agreement serves as registration. The question I have is about proof of insurance. We don't purchase the car rental companies insurance (extortion rates!) because our credit card covers liability and CDW. How do I provide proof of that though? I have the section in the terms and conditions where it states that but is that really proof? ARGH! Freaking out!!!!!!!
