Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

well. I took the day off today, so today would be a good day for a phone call! I read on one of the face book pages that all nukes are G&G. So today I am getting a phone call from my SR telling me it is not so and tomorrow I get a letter not even mentioning G&G. Too much to ask for?

Depending on how far a long he is in boot camp, if he hasnt heard about being a grad and go, he probably isnt. No one in my division was a grad and go, and we all left for A school, no matter location, on the following tuesday after PIR

NavyWife, what an awesome story! I'm SO EXCITED AND ANXIOUS to see my hubby. In every letter he says he misses us ALOT! lol.....I miss him alot too but I know there's a purpose for them being over there; it's not just for money, or benefits or whatever. Unfortunately, I bought the tickets last week before we found out about the the extra Liberty day but that's ok...Before he left he said he was going to be a Hospital Corpsman and stay in GL for A School but I hope they give him Liberty for the whole weekend and NOT have to report back every night to RTC....I need to spend the weekend w/him you know....lol.....

Hi everyone... I had to go back to page 6 to catch up!!! My we are growing!!! I recieved another letter yesterday that was a surprise!!! My T is loving it!!! There are some things he doesn't like, like ironing at 3:30 in the morning!!! Hahaaa wow I should have taught him to iron...lol Anyway, he seems to be doing great. I didn't know about Liberty on Monday, I have already made all of our reservations so we fly out Sunday around noon. :( Kind of bummed about that. I'm sure he will find someone to hang out with. He mentioned a couple of guys that he is hanging out with, they only go by last names so I didn't recongnize them. I'm getting so siked about this trip. I will bring warm clothes. I'm from Texas and well one thing about Texas weather is its HOT!!! and HUMID!!! I'm ready for the coolness!!!!

My son is ship 10 div 335, I've seen comments about sialors not having much time after grad date to A-school, when do or how do we know about this information? My son's letter's are still getting to me a week after he writes them and he has called 3 times sinces starting BC, but doesn't know much himself about after graduation. Coul someone help clue me in as far as where or who to go to for info. Also hotels in the area - any advice? I live about 3 hours away from base, but don't think we can spend more than 1 overnighter after graduation (sounds like he wants us to stay down there the weekend. Also, do my little kids 7 & 9 years old have to have ID's from the DMV to attend graduation? Oh, so much to think about! Thanks for any help - God bless you moms!

I received a letter today dated Sept 09. My Ship 10 DIV 334 Nuke son said he will be leaving for A school on Saturday morning at 2am. I hope that changes. I need a little time with my SR.
FYI Ladies,
My friend who is a Navy dad said if you ever get the chance to go on a "Tiger Cruise" take it.
