Hello everyone. I have not been on here in a while, whew, lots to catch up on. I did reply to the meet and greet. I will be i Chicago Oct 3rd and staying at the Ramada, so let me know if there is anything I can do. I am planning on some sight seeing.
Nativechicago: Thanks for the tips about visiting Chicago; I think I have caught them all. I saw something about you SR being G&G? Mine is in the same div and also a nuke. Are they all G&G ? Do you know? I have not talked or heard much in a while from my SR

I was wondering the same on how to dress for PIR, I think you have the right I deal to wear layers. Speaking of Brother Divisions who is 338's brother division? My son is suppose to be a grad and go , but not leaving until Wednesday am for P'Cola.

As we say in the mid-west, if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it'll change. My prediction, you will be so excited you won't even notice.
Comment by NavyMomLG on September 14, 2010 at 9:15pm
From what I have read previously, it is most likely that the SR in Divs 331 and 332 will be Grad and Go - maybe not all, and there may be more since it is such a large group. It doesn't seem to matter where they are going, or their rate. My son is also a Nuke, but he doesn't know when he leaves yet. I don't even know exactly what rate he is yet. I didn't know about Nuke school starting on the odd months, that is good to know.

As far as weather and what to wear, since we have to be on base so early, it will definitely be cool. That time of year the temps can range 20-30 degrees throughout the day. That is why layers are best.
Comment by Jana B on September 14, 2010 at 9:05pm
I'm hoping that I can stay an extra day!

i wasnt a grad and go, and my A school was also in great lakes. we graduated on a friday of course, and id say about 95% of my division left the following tuesday.
Comment by Jana B on September 14, 2010 at 8:51pm
Hey ya'll. I'm trying to get caught up here on my reading--are there some of the SR's that already know that they are grad-n-go? My son will be going to Pensacola--has anyone heard when they will be leaving GL?
Comment by navy on September 14, 2010 at 8:46pm
Liongirl, my son is a SeaBee, what rate is your son? Mine is supposed to be going somewhere in TX ...but I am glad there are some more "bees" out there. My husband was a 'bee' and my oldest son is a 'bee' .... hoorah!
Comment by khoov00 (Kara) on September 14, 2010 at 8:16pm
We are still way into air conditioning weather here in CA. I think it was supposed to be 89 here today which seems cold compared to the 100+ temps a few days ago. Last Halloweeen we didn't even have hoodies on so going to GL will be a shock to my system I guess.
