@ronica-
It was dated the 7th. He too said they were on point and had passed everything up to that point including the Marlin Spike. He said test 2 and the drill inspection would be early this week.

Goodmorning Ladies. Had to work yesterday. Boy, am I tired of giving flu shots. But I do believe in having them. I got mine friday. Hope that everyone who wants one will get it. Because of my job, I come in contact with alot of passible infections and take every step to make sure that I do not bring "my work home".

Athought I had about RDC's reading our post, If they do. I take it as" helping the SR. Just like this site is for me, a sounding board; very helpful information; a view into our SR's world; and the most important,keeping our spirits alive, so that we can help pull up our SR's spirit. I really believe that when my SR gets a letter from me with my Inspiration, it matters. Point in fact, he said so. But I also went back and looked at what I wrote in hopes that I didn't say anything wrong. Most of the time , in the wee hours of the morning, when I can't sleep. thank God for dark chocolate and tea.

pastorMom: It gets SO much better after bc.The restored contact with them is great. Yes, you can talk with them, text, e-mail and skype in some cases! They feel much more freedom. Still very structured in A School, but they are stepped up in what they can do.

I have never heard about what you said about being "on hold" off base. That's crazy! All that I have heard about have been held on base. Sometimes for 2 mos or more waiting to class up.

Hope all have a good day!

LTLY when was your last letter because my son's letter was dated Sep 8th as the day they had their division's inspections. He said everyone was on point and that they passed.

Yea, my son told me in his letter that he had his 4 hour watch right before their inspection so he had been standing for 8 hours except 10 mins to eat breakfast and at lunch.

I don't know about our SRs but I know I'm a zombie. Does it get better after BC? At least we'll get to talk or text, right? I heard from my SR's GF that her brother had been in the Navy and he was on hold for his school and had to leave base to make room for new recruits. He had to find a place to live and buy civilian clothes and he did not have a credit card, so it was a real tough time. I thought they got to stay on base if they were on hold. Has anybody heard anything like this?

Idk about PIR day, but my last letter said that they have a drill inspection this week that takes about four hours and they have to be standing at attention or parade rest the whole time. Talk about mind over body!

txsailormom,

Locking your knees cuts off blood flow from your legs and it causes you to faint. Its the lack of flow that does it.

The bodysnatchers catch fainting Sailors that forget and lock their knees while standing at attention. For some reason if your knees are locked for a long period of time you faint. Don't understand it... just know it's true.
