OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Also if they are G&G to GL, they may move into their new racks before the weekend is out and not need a locker, just be able to take them right away.

I did just post that question there too. There is a place very close to the base to rent lockers...I have the # somewhere...I think it is $40 per week or so, so not sure what we will do yet.

Anyone know how soon they find out their orders when in A-school?

OMG was just checking back over my groups since my son joined the Navy. I started with:
1. New Moms Stop Here
2. Deppers in - but not gone yet
3. Dep - leaving for BC in Aug.
4. Boot Camp Mom's
5. PIR 10/1/2010
6. Ship 13 Div. 330
and soon to begin in Sailors in A School for Corpsman. What happened, guess I joined the Navy also lol
All the time my SR was in school I was known as Seby's mom and up until this year it still was Seby's mom. I now have a name in school but now I am also Kat Q - Navy Mom of Seby - Oh well. Gotta love them.

pamom... I, too, am happy for the letters even if he doesn't answer questions.

Aj'sKeeper, I said the same about my son, I've sent him questionaires and just lots of different questions in my letters.... I have gotten many letters but none of my questions are answered! lol. He tells me lots of things but nothing of what I asked him about! Oh well I am happy I get those letters anyway. I was really hoping for a phone call :(

Me too :(.I wish he wrote like a girl so I'd at least get some information out of him.
I want to know how he is doing.!!!

He def needs some Man Time! I am struggling with how to deal with his behavior ...fine line on disciplining without breaking his spirit. He has such a beautiful spirit!

Oh, sorry for you Reeeni, my justification on eating so much of it is that it won't go straight to my butt!!! It just goes through!!!

Gnight ladies, I have to cuddle with my lil guy tonight. He has had attitude troubles lately so I am working on spending more tender time with him.
Comment by LTLY on September 12, 2010 at 11:46pm
I can't stop eating it right now...the other day I made myself sick on it. Seriously...excessive chocolate consumption has a laxitive effect. Who knew?!
