Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ok, LTLY: You win on the tatoos! You can stay with me when you come to Miami to get your new ones! HA! Yep, that is where I live....right in the heart of it!

pamom: The last BStations group can go on Wed night and become sailors on Thurs. That means that calls to parents can come when they are traveling. That is when we suggest that people change their voicemail messages to greet their new sailor and ask that they leave many messages while the phone is off during flights.

I believe that the 800 group for the 9/2 PIR group went the first night (Thurs). But if you look back to previous PIR groups, I don't think they always go on that night. 900 groups usually go on Mondays if PIR is Friday; Sunday if PIR is Thurs.

Back from church. now i can visit my navy4moms and catch up with what's been going on since I left. I too am hoping for a phone call today. I haven't mailed my SR last two days and are feeling the guilt. I have a letter started on computer and will finish later, inbetween the laundry and what's for dinner. Oh of course, watching the Bills squish the fish/ Dolphins "hopefully". will check chat later.
