This is the final test for your recruits. This is a 12-hour overnight drill which tests them on everything they have learned. It is held on a ship built by Disney...very realistic...and they are subjected to every situation that they could face when out on a ship. They are evaulated on teamwork and individual levels. They cannot discuss specifics of what they do (confidential) but suffice it to say that the adrenaline is running and they have lots to do! They MUST not go to sleep...and I'm sure that they help each other to stay awake. They are allowed to sleep at 8 pm the day they finish...they stay fueled with candy bars and energy driniks that day!
They can start on Thursday, a week before PIR. They are not held on Fri or Sat nights because of Captains Cup on Sat. A friendly athletic competition between the divisions that is a nice break for the sailors/recruits. They can then resume Sun-Wed nights. They start with the lowest numbered divisions and go up...with the 800 and 900 divisions going randomly.
In the morning, at the conclusion of this, there is a capping ceremony where they trade their recruit caps for sailor caps...and they are sailors! Later in the day, you should receive your "I'm a Sailor" calls. These calls can range from 15 minutes to an hour long....depending on how many divisions go through the night before. If your sailor does not call, it may be that he/she had watch and your call should come the next day. Rarely, some don't pass....they are given another chance to go through with a different division....sometimes even running into the first night of the next PIR group's BattleStations (which would be the night before PIR...they would be at PIR, in uniform, but maybe in the balcony because of being up all night). ALL tests must be passed before they are allowed to do BattleStations.
Brother divisions go together...yours are:
33+34, 35+36, 37+38...it is possible that 802 and 907 will go together or they may tag on to 2 brother divisions.
Please ask your recruits if they know when their division goes through and post on here and on the main board. Maybe we can get a schedule up!
Mon, Jan 3 Div 33, 34, 35, 36
Tues, Jan 4 Div 37, 38, 802, 907
