flbradybunch>  BRING THEM!  They do allow extras in.  They must have ID, of course, and may have to wait to enter the drill hall until all others are in, but most likely will get in.  BRING THEM and surprise him!  The Navy will only guarantee that the 4 will get in, but the extras do get in.

Ladies, when on RTC FB, remember...if you post anything about Navy for Moms, they will delete it.  Stupid, I know...but since they can't "verify" what we say on here...they don't allow anyone to refer ladies to us.  Many will private message a person on there with N4Moms info.

Glad to see you back, Betsy!

Good Morning, ladies.  Welcome to your PIR group.  I'm Betsy and yet another veteran mom who will be helping out.  This is an exciting time for all of you and your SR's and we will be here for you every step of the way.

FTLW, my son's division got to make a few extra call while in boot. His RDC said it was for good behavior.

Facebook user mom's...... while in facebook be sure to search and like the Navy Recruit Training Command page.  Go to the notes section - there is a contest on Wednesdays at noon that can win you a photo of your kiddo's division!!!!!

Darn it - so no surprise guests huh?  My son is expecting me - but I was going to try to surprise him with his Grandma, Step-dad, and brother.  Darn :-(

The SRs are allowed to update their list of 4 guests, for the final time, about 2 weeks before PIR.  Please write them and make sure that they have proper names for all attending...no nicknames.

LOL! I had all my important papers for PIR in a binder. Two to a plastic cover sheet to keep them "safe".
Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on September 28, 2011 at 11:20pm
Now don't go runnin' around sayin to people..."FTLW said ...." But they CAN earn extra phone calls.Even heard of one of them getting one for shinier shoes than his RDC! So pray REAL hard for an extra one. My sons div got one for everyone passing and doing well on their first test.
But yes, generally speaking only two more "guaranteed" calls. The "I'm still alive" at around three weeks, (even those can be taken away or delayed.), and the "I'm a Sailor" call after they pass Battlestations 21. Sometimes this one does not happen right after BS21 if a sailor has to stand watch. They usually get to make it at a later time. That is why we ask the moms to ask their new Sailors if everyone passed when their div goes through BS21 and to please post it. diannep will be posting a discussion on Battlestations soon!

Thank you for the welcome flbradybunch. He just had a couple of minutes to write a paragraph on the back of the form letter, but it felt so good to see! He mentioned there would only be 2 phone calls, so thats gonna be tough.

Flbradybunch, you sound a little like me. I am a big planner. I also created a binder that last time we went to Disney. I did major research to find all the little things one could get that is not advertised. It made the trip more special plus I planned our itinerary for each day, etc. My husband is not crazy about it :o) But we get so much accomplished.

FTLW, thanks for the heads up on the invite list. That is very good info! I had no idea it was in the form letter. So the kids have to know asap who they're inviting. That's very interesting.
