Pudsey26, is your daughter in Div 14? My daughter is in 13, so I know I'm sure they know each other as well as they share same quarters. Look at the panel to your right, there are a couple meet & greats listed as also different discussion groups listed up above. We are planning on trying to get to Sarge's. Flying in from Oregon so hopefully no delays. I wish everyone Safe travels!!! Woo-Hoo! glad it's almost time!!
Hello - Son is going to Mississippi for A School. Will he find out what time he will be leaving on Friday? His sister will not be able to attend his PIR with us on 11/21 She will be coming in on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. She wants to know if she will be able to spend time with him on Friday.(she works for the Federal Govt. you would think they would give her the time off haha). Thank you
mrehm: They do have to return to their ships after PIR is over. I didn't realize it would take as long as it did for my son to return . We waited about 45 minutes for my son to return. So they are gone for a while. It isn't a 3 mile walk from PIR Hall to the ships, but it is a distance...
And, yes, RTC had stated that those flying out to A School will do so on Friday....they would only go on Saturday if they couldn't get flights on Friday.
DillonsMom/NicolesMom: Just remember...it takes anywhere from 2 - 4 hours for them to move over to GL A School. So....if you want to return to the hotel and come back, you can. You will pick them up on A School base (next door to RTC). Make sure they have phone cards with them to call you since they can't have their cells until they return to A School base from liberty that night.
deboraho: If he calls you and tells you he passed his float, head to PIR...because he should pass BattleStations. I'm not sure they are allowed to call until after BattleStations, but with PIR so close, hopefully he can. You can always call Public Affairs and ask his status (later morning/early afternoon tomorrow).

Hoping he is full of lots of "hot air" so that he can do the float! :-)
Good Morning all. Just wanted to say congratulations to all of you ladies and your SR's that have made it through and have made the I"m a Sailor call. Yea!!! Praying for those that are still having to test. Was wondering if anyone has heard anything from Div 14. How that division is doing. Have a great day and safe trips to all who are traveling.
