Finally opened "The Box." I had to laugh at his pants' legs rolled up! His jacket was still zipped up halfway...it got caught so he pulled it over his head. His ticket info and a receipt from the airport here were also in the box. Not food but he had told me he was going to buy a puzzle magazine. Oh, there was a large piece of Oreo cookie in there! He must have ate them on the plane and a piece got into his pocket! Didn't cry but let the dog sniff the clothes...she then ran to the door looking for him. Now that just about made me cry.
Tomorrow is the day for you Beth to get that address!!!
Congrats Navywife23. A call is so cool. We are all going thru different stages, it's so wild!!
Congrats Seabee Wife Dawn on getting your box. Was there anything besides his clothes in the box?
So glad Navy MaMa that your DIL got the call.
Tomorrow should bring lots more news for all of us. Makes me want to go to bed! LOL
Got my box!!! No letter though so I'm going to call our recruiter tomorrow to see what he can find out for me. It's so exciting now that some of us are starting to get addresses!
@Beth- don't feel too lonely w/o your ship/div #, the rest of us WILL get them soon!
I was really surprised to see Hubs clothes in the box, he wore old clothes he was going to donate. But it sure was nice to smell his shirt, maybe I'll have to change the cover on my build-a-hubs! lmao
NavyMaMa--So glad your DIL got the call. I bet that makes you feel so much better after waiting so long last week.
Rissysmom--we are a funny group, aren't we!! LOL....Once I got my SR's DivShip I checked it with the PIR dates. It could change but I'm hoping it stays the 18th (spring break week for me!).
Stay strong everyone!
