Ashley I haven't heard anything about Kentucky....not sure where he is hearing that. Tell him to find my hubby and talk to him. Lol. ;)

Shoot!!!! Grad and go for sure??? I'm so sad!!!! That means my hunny is going fast too! Poop!!!!! Big time sad.

Girly if I may say.... when he is on a sub you won't have a choice to see him! Go with him now while you can! Later when he's deployed finish up. Time with our guys is so precious! Just my opinion Hehe. I am leaving family and the sun to move to Groton lol but it will be well worth it.

Hi Ladies,

I'm so glad to hear some of you got letters. I didn't receive one today so hopefully tomorrow. My daughter-in-law Amy got one, so at least one of us heard from him. YAY!!

Amy, for some reason he is saying his schooling is 7 weeks in Groton, then to Kentucky for a year? What is your husband saying? I can't find anything about Kentucky online, so I'm assuming somebody told him a bunch of bull? And I got letters:) He is a grad and go after PIR and said he'll only get 5-10 hours with us. I was sad at first but I will be seeing him so I can't complain.

I have to choose to either finish school now and move to him later, or vise versa. He's set on me finishing school later and I have no idea how to tell him I wanna finish school. It would be so good to have my Nursing license and have something to help keep me occupied on deployments!

The Navy Lodge doesn't have them but the shuttles really are just a taxi, and some of those taxi's are vans. If you stay at the Navy Lodge you can call a cab/taxi company and see what they would charge. Others have done that and it worked out pretty good for them.

MissingSailor.  I have heard that Ramada's shuttle is free.  The ones from Residence, Springhill Suites, and Courtyard are $3/pp each way...sailor returns with you for free on those.

The shuttle from Ramada Inn is free right? Too bad the Navy Lodge doesn't offer free shuttle. Wonder if I should book it now too.
Comment by Sherri (mom of Kirsten) on February 23, 2011 at 5:14pm
Maybe we will all be on the same shuttle then. :)
