Once our SR's are in Pensacola for their A school, will they be allowed to have weekends off? Just wondering because we're not far from Pensacola. Or will we be permitted to make weekend trips to see him? We won't have much time with him if he leaves when yall say your SR's are flying to Pensacola. Will I be permitted to bring him any of his things to A school?

you most definitely do sit in front of your sailors division. We had 13 div and it wasn't hard to find our sailor. Although she wasn't in front of us because she sang in the choir. We just stayed in the area where her div was and waited for her to come to us. It was amazing. It is like you are there with thousands of people but you and your sailor are the only ones in the room. I think part of the reasons many choose to wear a certain color scarf or ribbons is to also recognize other N4M members. Many choose to do both because you can see the scarves from further away butfrom the messages I have received from families about the ribbons is that they are also a great keepsake and give you such a sense of pride when you pin it on. And they are not that small either, about the size of your hand.

MissingSailorD, I heard we get to sit in front of them too, so yeah, I guess it would be sort of senseless to wear a certain color. LOL

I'm sure it'll change, how can they predict so far ahead? Hopefully we have beautiful spring weather! That would be so perfect, to be able to walk around the city with them and actually be outside:) I hate snow and screw this weather!

Just checked the weather, it might rain/snow in Illinois around the week of PIR. Hope it'll change as we get closer!

In case you didn't know, The Navy Dress uniforms are not really blue. They are black. Black pants, black shirt and black shoes. This time of year this is the uniform they graduate in. In the warmer months they graduate in the White uniform. On Saturday and Sunday after PIR they wear what some refer to as the Peanut butters, They are black pants and Khaki shirt. The digi-cams are a work uniform and are not usually worn in public.
