Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Jean my daughter is on the ship staff and she likes it. Got my call from her yesterday, that was so awesome to hear from her. She said the snow is melting and its been warm there. She had her wisdom teeth taken out.

I know exactly what you mean Kathy! It's nice to connect with other Moms going through the same thing. We are also going to stay at the Ramada. I'm looking forward to the meet and greet so I can put some faces with names!

MissingSailor: We paid $3/pp each way and our sailor came back with us for free.
Yes, I agree, Betsy. I had my gate pass in my purse even though we took the PIR shuttle. Had one in the car too for when we returned our sailor.

Ladies, just to be on the safe side, I would still take your gate pass with you, even if you do take a shuttle. It doesn't hurt to be overly prepared. :)

I just got a phone call from my boyfriend! I think he got to call today because the day everyone was allowed to call was the day he got his wisdom teeth out.
