We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

Love it Janlee!!
I'm actually killing time right now by writing his first letter and telling him about the wonderful moms I'm meeting on this site (that he recommended I get involved in) and letting him know that his dad, brother and I are 'training' too, as in learning all the lingo and rules of the Navy. It is our bootcamp at home. So when we see him a bizillion years from now, we will be just as trained as he! Does that make sense?Wow those are beautiful Lala. I've never been the crafty type so I admire those who have that talent. Good for you. And so nice to offer it to other N4M's.
Thank you! I will be in touch.
Janlee.....I know it's the"Hurry up & wait" that's so hard....
By the way....I love the **start the jeopardy music*** comment..........That's funny.:)))...Maybe we should have that as our theme song as we endlessly "Wait". lol.....
Otty- janlee is correct. I hand make ribbons for anyone who wants them to wear to PIR. They are a great way to show support and pride for your sailor, a great way to recognize other members of N4M's and they make a great keepsake as well. As for the other things she mentioned, I also make military scrapbook embellishments that you can't buy in stores. To get more info on any of these item just click on my name and send me a friend request. Thanks Here are some sample pics of the ribbons. You can see more on my page.
Thanks janlee. I will check out the ribbons.
I'm off work today so the day is dragging. I wish the mailman would get here already! I'm hoping the letter is in today's mail.
*** start jeopardy music ***
sigh
otty--Lala makes beautiful ribbons (among other things) that are perfect for PIR and scrapbooking. Click on her screenname and you will be able to view them.
Theyre really nice.:))
I am still waiting on mine. He is div 920. It's been 9 days. I'm sure I will get it this week.
What are these ribbons you gals are talking about?
Thanks again everyone for all the info and sharing.
quiltblue-- We ask that moms (or dads) dont use their SR's name in anyway. The moms that have their SR's name and div. as their profile name must have been overlooked. Its hard, when we are on this website, to notice and tell everyone individually. But if we notice,,,we will post it and hope the moms abide by it. :)))
But i do know that last names are to never be used. .
Thanks for abiding...and really, its not for us moms' security..it so as to not draw any attention to one particular recruit. The kids have a rough time as it is and we dont want the RDC's to have any reason to single any of them out. Ive read and heard several stories of RDC's using info they found on here against a recruit (such as knicknames, pets names, what 'mommy' had to say, etc...lol)
