Well, he really wanted me to drive there in April, but I told him NO! He doesn't have a valid drivers license right now anyway (still waiting for it to arrive from Texas), so even if he had his car he wouldn't be able to drive. The Navy knows his license is not current, so he wouldn't be allowed to drive it if it was there!

But...they survived ! 3 more days till I get to see her ! Guess it is count down time once again ! Seems like de ja vu !! Have a great day everyone !

Whoo hoo !!just found out that my little sailor gets to come memorial day weekend !! She was going to try to surprise us...she told me her request was denied (very good actress by the way!) but she slipped last night when the girl who is taking her to the airport walked by and she told the person she was with that it was the girl taking her to the airport! I didn't acknowledges her slip up the first time but when she did it second time I couldnt let it go ! so her dad and brothers don't know, but...I do !! she is sooo homesick, and was supposed to have 2 months before finishing A school, so we are very grateful ! It is going to be a GREAT Memorial Day weekend !!

My sailor is finishing up "A" school in Pensacola in less that 4 weeks then will get to come home for 10 days:)))) We are so excited. We also just learned where his duty station will be........Whidbey Island, Washington! We are very excited & look forward to visiting that part of the country. It's about a couple hours away from Seattle

Lee Ann my son was able to leave with us right after PIR, he had to be back at base 8pm that night and left BC Saturday morning for A school in Pensacola at 6am for the airport his flight was not until early afternoon.  We where able to get passes to go thruogh security check with him so we could hang out with him until he boarded the plane.  I do not regret one minute of having  to get up at the crack of dawn to meet him at the airport...we got the low-down on what BC was like from all these sailors bantering back and forth...Priceless!

Right after PIR he was able to stay with me until liberty was over and that was it. He had to fly out the next morning.
