I'll be surprised if I sleep at all. I'm so anxious and stressed! I just can't wait to get that call. I know there's a possibility that the call won't come when I expect it to, but I also know that I will be a complete wreck until it does come!
I'm so glad we're almost there, being separated from Perry for this long has been hard. We've only been married since July so having this 2 month absence has been more than a little difficult! The idea of the military never even crossed either of our minds until October or so. And now here we are, a few short days away from PIR. My husband is going to be a Sailor! Crazy....

When my son went last week they didn't get done till 9:30 in the morning. my son is grad n go GL so there is a pretty good chance he will get to spend whole weekend with us including overnights so I'm packing him an overnight bag right now, just in case so he'll have something to sleep in. A mama can hope!!!

So who will feel guilty tonight when they lay down in their cozy beds? Who will toss and turn all night? Who will be up at 4am counting the minutes until 8? That will be me actually. Anyone want to join me for coffee?

And who is incredibly proud that our kids are strong enough to succeed tonight?

@Sara, thank you for mentioning that we may not get a call for a day or so. I heard one mom say she didn't get her call until she was already in route to PIR.

@Maggie, when Ashley calls you get the scoop for all of us, OK? ;D I'm kidding.

And so the waiting begins... It's 4:12 here on the west coast. I suspect Battle Stations has begun, right?

Welcome Erin - The ladies on here are angels. Glad you found us.
Good luck to all our Sailors going to Battlestations tonight. Remember you may not get your "I'm a Sailor" call for a day or so. Remember what a basket case I was when he didn't call. You guys saved me. Don't know what I would have done without you. Prayers to all our Sailors. Wish I was going to PIR.
Grumsmom / twifey - Please give Jason those hugs for me.

Thanks, J'Mika'sMom. I probably won't sleep tonight and be on pins and needles waiting for that phone call tomorrow.
errands20, so sorry you're just joining us, but welcome and good luck to your recruit!

Tammysue, we all really believe that no news is goods news; she probably did fine this morning and you will hear from her after BS. Looks like the weather is going to be cool and possibly rainy on Friday, then slightly warmer and parlty cloudy the rest of the weekend.

Good Luck to everyone with a son or daughter going into Battlestations. I finally slept the night after he was done. The worries are replaced with excitement about seeing him in the next few days. Can't believe it is finally the week of PIR....

I've only received one phone call on April 19 also, and one of Savannah's letters last week indicated that their next phone call will be tomorrow. I fluctuate between the excitement of seeing her in four days and my stomach in knots worrying about BS.

Erin, welcome.... you must be a strong person to have made it this far without this site.. This site has been more supportive in many ways than my personal family. Thank God for everyone here....

Tammy Sue.... We've all been rooting for your daughter today... No news can be great news.......although the silence kills us. Looks like the 2nd call will be tomorrow.... one more day ladies.... I can start crying now if I let go.... tomorrow will be full of happy tears. Can't wait to hug you all at the M&G Thursday...Got to go to 2nd job now... see y'all later. :-)
