Today is a GOOD day. He called!!! Said he had a four hour watch yesterday so he couldn't call when everyone else did. Sounded real good. Said battlestations was a trip, but that they can't discuss it. He also said since he's grad and go he's just going to stay on base after PIR. They found a place with a tv that he can watch NASCAR qualifying for the afternoon. He will be in heaven being able to see racing of any kind. Said he could have talked longer but there were other guys who haven't gotten to call home yet so he said goodbye. How considerate Thanks to all for the support. I would have gone nuts without you guys to keep me calm.

Tammy Sue, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter, it's really tough not being able to grab them in our arms and take care of them. I will keep you and her in my prayers. She's a tough girl if she's made it this far, just hang onto that. She'll do great.

TammySue, I'm sending BIG HUGE prayers up for your daughter and so are several folks who are in my office and became heard about her situiation as well. We are all behind you and I know I speak for everyone when I say that we would love to help in person, just can't. So take this cyber-hug from all of us and know that we are all pulling for her. I'm certain that anyone who reads this, then receives their "I'm a sailor" call will pass on to their sailor that she needs their support.

Tammy, my thoughts are with you and your daughter. I hope she gets well soon and you get your call.

Tammy if she was just minutes off, then this weekends rest will get her strong enough to try again on Monday. I do know that the Navy employs some of the best physicians on the planet so they will give her what she needs. I hope they can give her an IV treatment because that works much faster. I work in the health field and have know many excellent Navy physicians. Just keep thinking positive, positive, positive. And remember, if you get no more calls until after battlestations, all went well.

GOD BLESS AND HERE IS ANOTHER BIG HUGE N4M HUG FOR YOU!!!

My heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you TammySue... I pray your daughter can finish with the division. What a shame she's so sick. I'm with the rest of you in stating that RTC does not have an effective way of containing these sicknesses. Every week it seems one or more recruits are sick.

Perry will be fine, Traci... and keep on thinking no news is good news. Our recruits only have to get thru a few more days... as do us! Tuesday's calls can't come fast enough....then we'll all be able to breathe a sigh of relief!

Gloriar, I am with you on no calls. My heart almost stopped last night when I saw the area code and it was Jess. Thank goodness it was only to ask me to ship her some female necessities (hair straightener, eye liner and mascara) that the RDC said she could have mailed to her. At least in her last letter she said that she was finally over her cold that lasted about 6 weeks. She could only talk for a few because another div was leaving for battlestations and I could hear in the background their singing cadence and it was loud.

Lets all say an extra special prayer this weekend for Tammysue's daughter. Maybe if we all pray she will get through her run on Monday. KEEP THOSE FINGERS CROSS AND THINK POSITIVE!!!

Tammysue, my prayers go out to your daughter. If she is in 192, my daughter will probably do the run with her as she did earlier this week for another girl in 192 who was having trouble passing. I wish I would have know this last night when I got a 5 min call from Jess. I would have told her to seek her out and give her support through this. Just keep thinking positive thoughts. Maybe if she gets some good rest this weekend, she will be ready to go on Monday. Here is a big N4M hug for you.
