Traci, I'm with you. Joshua hasn't said much about being sick, but the night he called us due to his grandmother's death, he was coughing something awful. But still, he wanted to get back with his group to practice marching. So I hope and pray every day that he and the rest of our division is feeling better. Good to hear from Beatrizm that it sounds like they are still doing awesome. Weird how last week I stared at the phone and willed it to ring and this week I'm begging it to please not ring.

Now I'm nervous. Perry has been so sick. I really hope he's going to be okay. No news is good news...no news is good news...no news is good news...
Right?

Seems they should do a better job keeping them from passing around all the germs. maybe put hand sanitizer everywhere. They keep on getting sick over and over, I hope she doesn't have to stay longer to graduate. I know my son is soooo ready to be out of there. He was feeling sick again. At least he made it through Battlestations....

I got another letter yesterday, this one mostly upbeat, says her division is still kicking butt, may make both the Battle E and CNO flags. She was a little bummed when the RDCs passed out the collar devices to the recruit who advanced to E2 or E3 and she didn't get one, but tried to be philosophical about it. She says the males are already making Liberty weekend jokes and offers, thinks it's kind of funny but feels it's going to get old quick.
She also says she can do 8counts for an hour--what's an 8count?
And this observation: Sometimes being IT'd for an hour and a half is easier than being It'd for 10 minutes. It just depends on whether the RDC is or isn't a SEAL. And the steel-toed boots have 2X the cushioning than the NAVY dress shoes.

Does anyone know what day DIV 194 will be going to BS? My brothers letters don't give much information (Naturally the way men write letters :) ) and I haven't seen anyone in here talking about DIV 194. Thanks ladies for everything and Congratulations to everyone that goes their "I'm A Sailor" calls already!

Jeannie, did someone answer your question about the ribbons? I also sort of half followed the discussion and am unclear about whether they are for meet-n-greet, PIR, or both.

I agree with all of momof5's comments. This site is great - just what I needed. Just think all of the people that are not on this site and going thru this all alone. I feel for them. One week from today we will be heading to PIR which, I have heard is awesome. I am so excited to see my son and all of you.
