Oh, by the way, CONGRATS to all of you who now have "Sailors"!!!! Way to go.
Comment by Jess's Mom (Fire Controlman GL) on May 13, 2010 at 4:29pm
Just got my letters from Jess. She said that she will get a call Monday before they go to Battlestations, and then again on Tuesday with the "I'm a sailor" call. She got her orders and they say she goes the Tuesday after graduation, but was told that they were temporary orders and will change the day of graduation. If they do not change, she said she will not have watch duty at night for the weekend. She is very exciting because she got her rate of FC (Fire Controlman) and she is so very happy. Her letters were short because she said that they have to pass test 3 or they get put back 2 weeks. She said that they have a busy week this week and they are calling it Hell Week 2. A bunch of her bunkmates sent me Mother's Day wishes in with her letter. She wrote again on the 9th and gave me a list of things to bring. She also said that she is "not meritously advanced", but said that she it is all good because she did get promoted to E-2 in week 4. She also asked that I keep sending letters until Monday the 17th (that is what I had planned to do anyway).

All in all, the letters sounded great. She is very excited for me to go to the NEX with her. She said she could not believe all of the things they sell there. She also asked me to bring her her favorite junk food (doubled stuffed oreos and milkyways).

Sherri camille - in my daughters letter she said that they will leave for battlestations at 8 pm on the 17th.

Whoever is making ribbons, can you include one for me. I am not handy with crafts at all and I left all of that to my daughter. She used make me really nice nicknack boxes that are modpodged. I bought a few more of them for her to do whenever she gets leave and is home. She loves doing them.

YAHOO!!!! We are now down to 7 days and about 17 hours to PIR!!!!!

I'm not sure; she said the next phone call would be on Tuesday, the 18th, so I assume that's after Battle Stations and that's what the other moms from DIV 192 are saying. But if Ashley is also doing it Monday, I'm confused. (Of course, that's not unusual...hehehe)

I'm weepy and Savannah hasn't even done Battle Stations yet.!

I got the call. Jeremy did it! He sounded tired and said he too might be getting sick but he said he is so happy it is almost over. He said DIV 190 got a Hall of Fame flag? He said the night was long but it was good. He is excited to see everyone next week. He is finished with testing so it should be all downhill to graduation. Left me with quite a lump in my throat....

my3sons, that's great about your 2nd son. Unfortunately, life works out that way sometimes--and we haven't got the cloning thing down quite yet..

I'm so happy we're all finally rounding the bend! I asked Matt what he wanted us to bring up to PIR and he just said "Yourselves - that's all I want!" Kaitlynn is getting her hair done, but she said he called her and they got 25 minutes on the phone and she is so happy.
