Valerie..as Linda said she has not failed. I feel for you so much right now but as everyone else has said she will find her way and it will all work out. You are in my thoughts. Wish I could give you a big hug right now.. xo

Valerie, I am sure you and your daughter are both devastated and downtrodden. It is hard to look up when all has come crashing down for you. Although this may seem like a terrible injustice, I do believe it is because there is something better in store for her. This is not her time, and I agree, this will make her (and you) both stronger. She has a powerful drive,
strong determination and a loving mom -- how many don't even have one of those things... My son was on the road to a different career path and failed one of his exams -- I too, was devastated at the time. Now he is here, and it is a much better path. It is true, that when God closes a door, a window opens. I know you both will never forget this experience and have learned and grown from it. All is not lost -- this is just another step along the way to her destiny and I know she is a better person for it. Maybe one day, she will help another though this kind of experience. What better thing can we do than to help another? She has not failed, she is only traveling a different path. I will pray for you both to have faith and soon the dark clouds will part and sun will be shining on you both. I do believe this. You believe it, too. If you need to talk more or cry more, we are still here for you. Much love and heartfelt hugs, Linda

Valerie - I am beyond words. I can't imagine not seeing my child for 4 months and knowing I can not be there to boost them up and carry them though this hardship. I am so deeply sorry. I was just positive she was going to make it this time. A better life and better plans lay before her. Even though we can not see it now it will all be reveled in due time. My heart goes out to you and I am wish that things in your world were better for you and her right now. If she comes home wrap your love around her and help her understand what her passion is and where she wants to head next. Obviously she wanted this so much but God is saying little one I have bigger opprotunitys for your life.. You are in my prayers and my heart hurts beside yours..

Valerie, I second everything that has been said. I am praying and please know that God is carrying both of you in his hands. Praying for the best for your daughter and you.

Valerie, I have your daughter in my prayers. Guiding Hand is right God has a plan for her. This will just make her stronger for what he has in store for her.

Valerie, I'm just so choked up thinking about all that Christine and you have been through. You are both in my prayers.

ValerieI am so very sorry to hear about your daughter. It just breaks my heart because we know how hard on children work and when they need us most we can't be there to pick them up. Try to stay upbeat for her sake. I am crying with you.

Well, here I sit, again, can't stop the tears flooding my face. I just got a call from my daughter. She fell during the last lap of the 1.5 mile run and they have sent her back to RCU. I am devastated, as is she, and I just can't stop the tears from flooding down my face and filling my heart. It has been almost 4 months since I have seen her and I know how hard it is to be in RCU and how many have just given up. I'm sorry we will not meet you all this Friday. She said she would call me later tonight. I think they will send her home now, like all the rest that return to RCU once placed back into a new division. She said that 5 recruits did not make their run today, but will have another chance before graduation. I don't know who the others are. Thank you for letting me vent and cry all over the group.

Costello's Mom - Thanks for posting that song. I love to listen to Kutless. It was a perfect song for all of us especially those who are struggling to hear.
