There is a discussion here for Division 278 - it appears to be in Ship 11.  You might try that discussion because I don't think divisions would be split between two ships, and a number of people have chatted over there about their SRs and Div 278.

Okay, it looks like the RTC Facebook page answered a question about this topic:

RTC, can an entire division change ship locations. My son started in ship 11, but is now in ship 3. His division (277) stayed the same. I am just confused. Maybe he sent incorrect informatin in the original form letter. Sorry to bother you ~ Thank you.
same confusion here! Form letter said Ship 11/Div 278. Got his first letter today and it said Ship 3/Div 278. :O

Weird, the RTC answer didn't show up - here it is:

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Yes, an entire ship can originally be scheduled to be on a ship and that's the ship the recruits write down in the form letter home. However, there can be a last minute change to a different ship. As long as you have the recruit's name and division number on the address, it will get to them.
I got my first letter today with his new/changed address. So, now I'm Ship 3 Div 278! Hope it doesn't change again..... Either way, that letter made my week. He sounds like he's doing good! Says he's learned how to iron lol.

Dana, My recruit's letter told about him CLEANING and putting a MIRROR SHINE on his boots!  Amazing work they do in Great Lakes, huh?  LOL
