Liberty is different than Leave.  Leave is similiar to requesting time off for vacation at work, they must submit a chit and have it approved.  Liberty basically means that they have "liberty" to…Continue

Are any of you taking graduation gifts to PIR for your sailors? And if so, let me know what you're thinking of getting. I'm not sure what to do on that.

yes thank you ladies for all your advice, i try to ignore her sometimes but she really is all drama! its so hard to keep my mouth shut, but most of the time i do. my mil does not live with me and i plan to keep it that way!! lol the less the contact with her, the better! i hate to say that cuz i know its his mother, but i feel so bad for jesse cuz that is his mom, and shes not coming to see him on one of the most important days of his life!!

I GOT MAIL!!!!Zac, jumped around alot but I try to give you all the highlights.

Told me how well they did on inspections and about the division getting the flag. Was real proud of himself for taking any hits during inspections.

Did better on his PFA this time--in under 2minutes and 11:25 on his run.
But whole division got a flag for overall performance too!

He did well on his M9 and got the sharpshooter ribbon, said thats one step below expert so he real excited over that.

Said this past Tues 8/10 was Test 2.

This Wed started 5-1 day and they got haircuts (he wrote his letter 8/8)

Today Thurs 8/12 they go to Naval Exchange.

Tomorrow Fri 8/13 they have grad pictures.

His best friend name Adrian B. They made E-2 together (does he belong to anyone here?)

The worst trouble his division got into was they were all talking outside the compartment so they called all the RDC from all the ships, said they were about 25 of them, and they got heavy PT from all of them. They didnt do that anymore and not to worry that was very early on.

They do PT inside but march outside. Its hot there but not too humid most days

He doesnt know what I mean by PIR,(so guess they only refer to graduation as just that) but grad day for them is 7-3.

And he wants me to bring his phone and ipod for A school and anything American and chocolate to eat after graduation. (LOL)

Newlywed girl...aka (Sam0618) (seems easier to call you "newlywed girl".....I shall nickname you, "NEWLYWED GIRL". About the girlfriend thingy.....I don't know if you joined us too late to know about CathyJ and her son's GF issue. If you have time, you should go back about about 1 to 2 weeks pages worth and read about the "Girlfriend" situation. That GF is a piece of work too!

Wow! Ya'll have been busy this morning!

CaliforniaMOm - thanks for the little cry this morning, your letters were amazing! and yes, you get an AMEN and Hallelujah!

Boxermom - I cant even image how that was for you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I will say an extra one to your sons guardian angel, as someone was looking over him that day.

CathyJ - we got your back! And is need be, we will take donations on the bail money. LOL

Sam0618 - hmmm, thats a tough one. YOU are his wife now, and while his mom is a mess, still be careful with her and don't get sucked into her drama.
